Thanks Bernice for the blanket idea!
Looking for an easy baby blanket pattern!
Now I have a few to choose from!
I did the Grand Mothers dish cloth, corner to corner, for my first, have
made 2 baby hats and need to make another blanket and 2 sets of booties!
My cleaning lady is going to be a grand mother, twice, next year!

I'm using worsted weight yarn on size 6 needles and it is 26 stitches wide.
I got a little carried way, and it is 49 inches long. Plenty long for
anybody teen or adult. On my daughter's scarf, I cast on about 10 stitches
on 1 edge and made it a little longer than the width of the scarf. Then I
attached it to the opposite side a few inches from the bottom. This means,
she can put the other end through the loop instead of tying it.
Next I have to fix a mistake I made on a baby blanket I am making. I'm
taking it back 3 rows. I think that will be enough. It is a wonderfully soft
yarn called, Feels Like Buutta, and it 131 stitches on size 6 needles. After
I fix the mistake, it will be about 2/3 done. I am using what is called a
mistake stitch ribbing. It is a multiple of 4 plus 3. Every row is the same.
Knit 2, pearl 2, ending with knit 2 and pearl 1. It is a little boring, so I
can't do it nonstop.
I am going to make a hat to match the scarf I just finished.

Wow!! Good job? I am glad that you are Knitting eve if it is just a little
at a time. 30 Inches that is really long  already. How wide is your scarf? I
have started one for Charity already and I have only one ball of this wool
bulky weight  in a dark  color so I will knit the scarf until I run out. Did
you make the scarf as wide as Shelley's  or did you make yours wider?  Are
you using worsted weight yarn? Happy Knitting in the new  year!

I am knitting a scarf with the pattern you taught. It is 30 inches right
now, so I think 6 to 10 more will be fine. I can't knit for too long,
because my hand is still recovering from the carpal tunnel surgery.
I got on the scale yesterday, and thought maybe it was wrong because I moved
it to the carpet. I moved it again this morning to tile, and it said I lost
another 7 pounds. This makes 38 pounds since last February. I'm not sure
why, but I'll take it. Also, I'm the only person I know of that looses
weight on a cruise. I love cruises. I figure it is because food is available
24/7, so I only have to eat a little each time. There is also a lot of
walking on a cruise.

Does that mean you are all crafting? Do you have all your Christmas gifts
made or are you still hard at work? Unlike me maybe your out side enjoying
some nice weather. I've gotten a lot of crafting done the last few days. Our
temps are unbelievable cold, today with the wind chill it was  -60 below
out. So  I've been knitting mittens and hand sewing some bags that would
make good book bags.  The only good reason for this cold weather is that I
have an excuse to say home and craft craft and craft some more. Sure hope I
don't run out of supplies!
What are you working on?

Did you know every time I try to eat healthy along comes Christmas, Easter,
summer, Friday and ruins it for me.
