[NFB-Krafters-Korner] the book: A touch of Yarn

There is no need for an additional beginners class, as there is already one
that has been running for almost two years. As it is, few beginners take
classes. There is a greater need for a more advanced class. This is
unnecessary doubling of effort. To that end, a better use of time would be
to have Joyce ask us if she can guest teach a project and we will work with
her to do so.

The book in question is good for some techniques, but does not need a
promoter, as we can buy it directly from the gentleman and the beginning
instructions do not lend themselves well to teaching beginners, in my
opinion.

My preference is afternoonWednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays.  Even though I
am a knitter, it doesn't hurt to take the class there is always something I
can learn I'm sure.
Mondays and Tuesdays don't work because the Second Monday of the month at
1:00 I have my Covenants Committee meeting and the Third Tuesday I have a
board meeting here in our condo at 2:00.  Those are the only Mondays and
Tuesdays I am not able to do it.
Evenings pose a problem because of various meetings during the month such as
Lions Board and regular meetings, Krafters Korner on the two other nights I
don't have Lions, this is only an example of why evenings don't work for me

Davy Hulcher the Author of "A Touch of Yarn"  has given me the wrights  to
sell his book.  This is a wonderful book written by a blind gentleman and
has written this book without pictures  beginning from the beginning of
casting on up to and including advanced knitting stitches.

I have talked to Tammy about holding a beginners knitting class and using
this book to teach and use the projects that are suggested in this book.  It
is difficult to find a class opening.  I was considering an afternoon class
& an evening class.  Please let me know if you have any preference to time
or day of the week.
