Time sure does fly when you're having fun. It's already been 6 month since
it was announced that we would be having a Caring and Sharing class. There
are many projects you could work on now that your Christmas crafting is
finished

You can make items for local charities or mission work through your church,
or you can make items for the charities we have focused on. Hear is a quick
reminder of the charities we have already learned more about.

Afghans for Angels

This project is looking for baby blankets, which we all enjoy making
something for babies. In this case though the blankets go to parents who's
baby doesn't survive, so your item becomes even more special.

Cards for Kindness

They receive cards all year round and have a need right now for general
cards like have a great day, thinking of you.

Operation Gratitude

Receive items all year round and you can make items of all types from cards,
to hats, to pony beaded projects. They really like items done in patriotic
colors.

Friends of Pine Ridge Reservation

Are in need of all sorts of household or school items. If you check there
website they do have a project of the month, which is something they are in
great need of.

Operation Christmas Child

www.operationchristmaschild.com <http://www.operationchristmaschild.com>

There main collection time was in November, but all there volunteers are
already collecting and crafting for next year. Any item suitable for
children is needed and it's endless as to items that can be made

.

If you make for any of the above charities or a local organization please
remember to write me at shelleyschuett at telus.net
<mailto:shelleyschuett at telus.net> and tell me all about your donation and
who you gifted. You may also include pictures if you want.

Now that you have been reminded of which charities we have learned about I
just bet you would like to see how many items have been donated over the
last 6 months. I'm pleased to report that our members have given to 19
different organizations, which reach all around the world. There have been
631 hand crafted items and 1,502 miscelaineous items plus 11 volunteer
hours.

If you haven't joined it's not to late, because the Caring and Sharing class
is on going and you can join at any time. Even if you don't join the class,
but you're a member of KK you can still write me with any donations that you
give to charity. We have already made a big difference and working together
we can make an even bigger difference in other's lives.

Did you know a single act of kindness can spread into several acts of
kindness.
