Hi Ruth,
I have an Amazon Alexa in each bedroom, living room, and my kitchen. I listen to music, get the weather, listen to NFB Newsline, play games, ask Alexa for spelling of words, She will get recipes, keep your calendar, keep your grocery list, it will make phone calls or drop in on my family to talk with them. My son-in-law helped me set my echoes up, and some of the aps do cost money. 
For example you can listen to music, but for a larger selection you can get the Amazon music. 
I play a game called Akinator, where she tries to guess what you are thinking about. It is like 20 questions.
There is an Echo list online also. 
There are hundreds of things you can do with Alexa. It is even linked up with my TV Fire Stick.

	IN 6-8 MONTHS, I ANTICIPATE MOVING IN WITH MY GERIATRIC MOTHER, WHO IS BECOMING MORE FORGETFUL.  AND MY SIGHT WILL NOT GET ANY BETTER.

	I HAVE APPLIED TO PENNSYLVANIA’S VERSION OF OVR, WAITING TO HEAR WHICH PROGRAM/S  I’D QUALIFY FOR.

	IN THE MEANTIME/ADDITIONALLY, I UNDERSTAND ALEXA MIGHT BE HELPFUL.

	ANYONE HAVE ANY GUIDANCE/ADVICE?
