Yes Ruth you can do a lot with one of those. The echo dot has no screen but we have that we find it useful. Things like an echo show have a screen but we’ve never gotten the one someone gave us running. Do you need sighted assistance of some sort. I have some useful vision but I found it to be a pain in the butt. I guess on the Alexa show you can watch Amazon prime movies other stuff. But I don’t see the point. However it might be useful if your mother can see pretty well. She can watch YouTube videos. I can help you with some ideas to help your mother with dementia. Until my body gave out I was an activity aid in assisted-living and volunteered for programs like that for Canada County. Call your states talking book in braille library. Your public library should be able to tell you where it is. You can get books and a player sent to you for nothing. I’m just thinking that if you’d like to read this is a good idea, especially since technology can be a pain in the butt. This is just Stika Kircher gin and push play kinda deal. A three year old can operate it so it’s really simple. Good luck with OER.
