That is so funny!
Last week, my veggies came out to spicy and I thought I had used chilli
pouder instead of a spice blend. I looked at the bottle a day or so, ago,
and it was the right bottle, but the big hole was partially open, so that is
why I got to much spice!

I love pumpkin bread this time of year and I made 2 loaves from fresh
pumpkin earlier this week. It is the first time I bought a cooking pumpkin,
prepared it and baked it. I wanted to make a great pumpkin bread for my
husband, 2 sons and their wives. I found the recipe I wanted to make and
planned to substitute ginger in place of cloves since this is how Mom always
made anything with pumpkin. I grabbed what I believed was ginger and added
it to the recipe. I needed chili powder for the bean soup recipe I was
cooking for the main course. I double checked with my husband to be sure
that I had chili powder. When he told me I had ginger I quickly realized my
mistake. You guessed it, I added chili powder to the pumpkin bread. I
thought all was ruined and was mad at myself for the stupid mistake. When
the bread came out of the oven I asked my husband to taste it and he said it
tasted good. My oldest son and his wife arrived first and he immediately
tried the pumpkin bread and said it was good. I talked to my daughter-in-law
last night and she told me how great the pumpkin bread tasted. My son called
me tonight to tell me it was the best pumpkin bread I had ever made. So, if
you are looking for a change to your pumpkin bread recipe try adding chili
powder in place of cloves. I will share my recipe for anyone who is
interested. I can truly tell you this is my original recipe.
