I am sorry to hear about the loss of your precious macaw.  My sister has a
20 year old African gray parrot, who keeps us entertained with her talking
and other antics.  We never know what she will say or repeat, what we have
just said.

Bernice,

Great suggestions about the grab bars.  My granddaughter would love to visit
your guest room.

It seems like everyone is busy and has some awesome creations..

Sorry to hear about your pet. It is hard when a pet passes on, no matter
what species it is.

When I was looking for a ranch house a couple of years ago, I found several
ideas that I wanted to incorperate into my home. One elderly person put
short grab bars anywhere there was a change in level like onto the porch.
The other one that I have used is putting heavy pressure mount curtains on
closets where there were sliding doors. Then my friend made a curtain to
match the curtains on the windows. The grandchildren sleep in the gust room
and they love anything to do with space. The windows have rocket ships and
the closet has astronauts.

So, we have a closet with no doors, and we have not found doors that were
reasonably priced that we liked. As a result, I am macrameing curtains. I am
also making keepsake boxes for the upcoming Holidays.

Also making a scrapbook for our ever-so-sweet Greenwing Macaw that passed on
July 15 2022.
