Hi Mary.
I put down knitting for many years, and then tried to use a book to start up
again, but I found it rather confusing.  Then I found an actual knitter to
put me back on track, and that worked much better.  
If you don't have any in-person knitters handy, KK offers a beginner
knitting class on the first Thursday of the month.

Your top sounds really pretty.
I love the lamb.  This is making me want to try knitting again.  Is there a
book for beginners, who have trouble with dexterity?

Hi Henry.  My top is light blue, and cotton.  And it's still warm enough to
wear it!
Mary, the lamb will be knitted.  The head and legs are a smooth yarn, and
the boddy is a fuzzy yarn.  One of the gals in my knitting group made one,
and it's so cute I want to make one myself.  The pattern is on Ravelry,
Luminous Lamb.

Wow Shelly, you're a speedy mitt maker!

I'm finishing up a summer top.  I just have to put applied I-cord on the
sleeves.  I knitted in a picture of Pegassus and several stars. 

When I'm done, I got a cute pattern for a little stuffed lamb.

Not to many showed up last night for our hang out, so please share with us
what you are working on. I set myself a challenge to knit one pair of mitts
a day for the next year. I started September 1st. So far I have 2 sets of
mittens made and 1 on my third pair.

 

Did you know cow hide is the most popular for making leather from.
