I recommend weighing the ingredients with a good digital scale. The scales need to be able to weigh to a 10th of an ounce.
I make soap and that is how I measure all of the ingredients. I also use the scales when I make body butters or body scrubs. I use the scales at the end to measure the weight of the finished product to make sure I have a consistent amount for selling.

I believe I got my kitchen scales at the independence market.

All I can think of is to go by weight rather than trying to feel if you’re pouring something into a container like filling bomb or the finished product into its container to sell. I do that instead of wondering whether I have enough liquid laundry detergent.
