I think the seed stitch would be fine or my favorite stitch is the mistake
stitch ribbing. It is done one a multiple of 4 plus 3. You knit 2, purl 2,
ending with knit 2, purl 1. It isn't as tight as a normal ribbing, but more
plush than strait knitting. The most important thing is to be consistent and
use the same stitch all of the way through.
