Hi Ericka, are you doing that hat on the loom, needles or crocheting it? If it is on the loom, Terry P. and I can help you.
I used to talk on the C B radios all of the time when I could drive.

Subject: [NFB-Krafters-Korner] Successful Saturday

Hey everyone, I was kind of sad to see that there was no successful Saturday sent out, so I’m calling all of you!

I have two things to report as successes Actually three if you think about it. Anyway, I finished my scarf for the little boy. I asked for the length four. His mom was thrilled and can’t wait to give it to him. I’m trying to figure out on my own how to make a hat. let’s just say I wouldn’t give it away, but it’s not ugly enough that I couldn’t wear it. So I can’t quite pull that it success… Yet

The two are really connected in my second success. First, I am a ham, radio operator and pretty much a newbie. Talking on nuts to local folks is one thing. But the protocol and what happens when you talk. Internationally is a little different. Some people want to just swap where you are what kind of equipm Equipment you’re communicating with and the weather conditions. Others just want to yak. But yesterday I got brave and I talk to a couple of people internationally through digital mode repeater. I talk to a guy in Kuwait and a guy in east coast, England. It was pretty scary, but needle at the same time. The other is that if you are a ham, radio operator, many blind folks are aware of Happ, HOLL Y, and his R a I N (radio amateur information net work) to see report. Well I got interviewed and it’s posted today on the podcast place of your choice. That was probably more scary and someways. I’m not used to being interviewed. But happens so funny and we had a yeahc session which he recorded. Then we were more comfortable to each other and he sent me a list of questions which I thought about, and he re-interviewed me. Turned out pretty good though I think the Guy who does the intro and exit could have changed things just a tad. I was speaking about how I could see the potential for getting kids interested in science as well as getting homebound and seniors in assisted, living centers, able to connect with the real world again. But I’ve said too much.
