Hi,

On the Friday night chat we talked a little about making wreaths and that
got me thinking. So I wanted to share these suggestions with everyone.

Here is 2 suggestions for making an Easter wreath. If anyone has any other
suggestions for these wreaths please share them with us.

Easter wreath #1

Take a wire form that you cam get from the Dollar Tree. Cover it using
something like a pretty garland, pretty ribbon or even some pretty fabric.

Then get some pre cut wooden shaped ornaments. The pre cut ornaments are
light weight and you can get them either in unfinished wood, stained wood or
painted wood. They have a hole in them to run a string or ribbon through.
Some of the wooden shapes I would suggest would be

A cross, a dove, a lamb, an angel, a Bible, a church, a lily, or tulips,
roses, or daisies. You could also use artificial flowers instead of the
wooden ones. You could also add some holly leaves with or without berries,
ribbon and even some hearts. If pre cut wooden shapes aren't your thing you
could use some of the beaded items being taught in our classes or even some
of the canvas shapes Terry P makes. You would use string or ribbon to run in
the holes of the ornaments and then hang them on the wreath. If you used
fabric to cover your wire form you could sew the ornaments on to the fabric.
When you are done putting things on your wreath top it off with a big bright
pretty bow. You then can give it to a friend or loved one or keep it for
yourself. See below for the second Easter wreath suggestion.

Easter wreath #2

This wreath has more of the Easter theme our children or grandchildren or
other children would like and it also would make a very nice pretty wreath.

Different sizes of Easter eggs, chicks, bunny rabbits, lambs, a family of
bunnies, a basket, Easter butterflies, cardinal, ducks and they even have
leaf cutouts, carrots, dragonflies and rabbits with floppy tail pom poms.
So many things you could put on a wreath. You could even put some of the
items from the first wreath on the second one if you wanted to. Again If pre
cut wooden shapes aren't your thing you could use some of the beaded items
being taught in our classes or even some of the canvas shapes Terry P makes.
You would use string or ribbon to run in the holes of the ornaments and then
hang them on the wreath. If you used fabric to cover your wire form you
could sew the ornaments on to the fabric. When you are done putting things
on your wreath top it off with a big bright pretty bow. You then can give it
to a friend or loved one or keep it for yourself.

There are so many ways to fill a wire form wreath. Please share your
thoughts on this if you have any. I would love to hear them. In case some of
you do not know you can get paint filled pens to finish the unfinished
wooden ornaments. These are not as messy as using a brush for your paint.
They also have the glitter pens and I think they would be real pretty to
use.

I have made a wreath for a baby shower before using all kinds of things for
a baby and they came out really nice and the mom to be really liked it. You
can make a wreath for almost every occasion. You just have to open your mind
and be creative!

Happy crafting!
