Me too!!! I  don't use my Ball Winder  for that reasinn. I dot it years ago at a Yarn Swap for 10. I usually have my yarn shop wind my yarn. Sometimes I can not decide if I want to use a color that I have ed picked so I wait a few days before I get the skein wand and I take it back to the store to have it wond.

I like that one Shelly.  How about a ball winder that works.  Unless there
is one out there I don't know about.  I have one but it doesn't work well
either that or it is the operator of the darn thing.

I can think of a few things I'd like to see invented. One would be a machine
that I could stick a ball of tangled yarn into and it would come out ready
to be used.
