[NFB-Krafters-Korner] Log cabin

I'm wondering if it is the pattern or system you use for an afghan. The
trick will be compensating for the condensing aspect of a cable. I just
wondered if anybody had done a log cabin using other stitches.

I made a pair of fingerless mitts using the log cabin pattern. They are
really neat. The pattern isn't too hard, so long as you keep track of which
side is the "right" side.

I don't see why you couldn't add cables to a pattern, so long as the square
you were working on was big enough.

A Treasury of Knitting Patterns, by Barbara Walker and available from NLS,
has a whole chapter on cable patterns.
