[NFB-Krafters-Korner] draw string question

I was wondering about satin cording. Does it hold up if it gets wet?

The way I understand it is that rattail is the frayed cut end of a cord making it look frayed. Many times I have seen instructions for glue to be placed on the end of this type of cord, so it does not continue to unravel. I personally like the bugtail satin cording for this type of project. Bugtail cording typically does not fray at the ends. A simple, knot close to  the end will ensures that if any fraying does occur, the knot will stop the frame from continuing up  the cord.
