Well, I have to admit, I did have my own yarn shop, going back many years
back.  It was called:
J C Kane's Yarn Shop.  It had Bernat Yarn and it had various hook rug kits.
The best kits which I loved was small 5 by 7 and 6 by 6 inch crewal kits
that had wooden frames.  

There was a laundry mat next to the store and folks would stop in while they
were doing their wash.  The most important attraction in the Shop was my
son, JC Kane.  He had his playpen in the middle of the Shop & his porta crib
was in the back room.

We opened it when he was just shy of 2 years old.  He was a great
attraction.  Well that little man will be 50 years old this coming June.
Where does the time go???

Let's see, "Needle me Knits and Notions" would be my store. I would ask
friends to pick say rug kits and write the directions out for the blind and
those who are color blind or just need something to do not to stressful on
there eyes. Those kits would have a designation so whoever working the store
would know certain kits were super awesome. Maybe a penfriend or similar
label on the yarns and threads. It would describe the basic color of the
yarn then describe the subtle shading and under tones. I had light tan yarn,
but in the background was a light blue and light pink. The yarn appeared
light tan, but the natural lighting brought out the subtle shades.
I would hold classes with sitting areas for happy knitting or whatever craft
they wanted to work with.

Who wants to man the coffee and juice bar.

I like it!!
Mine would be a very large craft store of all types of supplies. I'd call it
Tammy's Collectables, because I hear she has a lot of craft supplies that
would be able to keep my store restocked.

My store would be called You ARE Creative. It would have to a big store with
many kinds of craft products, and we would have a resource list of people
knowledgeable for us to contact with questions for all of the crafts we
sell. We would offer classes either online or in person. We would also have
a central place where people could sit and work on the craft of their
choice.
