I met Scottie at a convention at the hotel I worked at, but we weren't

I drove my custom built and painted USS Enterprise van down to the
convention, and, was wearing my Mr. Spock ears on I 95 A lot of cars honked
their horns and many people and children gave me the Vulcan Salute.

I bet they drank beer.
It was a cool day, because it was the bicentennial. We visited Valley Forge
where the wagon train ended up, and we visited Hope Well village where they
shot off a real cannon. I held my hands over my amazing Polly Dog's ears,
and she didn't even flinch. What a dog.

Hi Bernice and Everyone, Bernice, you are correct. The first celebration of
July the Fourth was indeed in Independence Hall in 1777 while Congress was
still dealing with the war. And, yes, it was in Philadelphia.

Thomas Jefferson was the first president to hold a celebration at the White
House in 1801.

I'm not clear where the 1777 celebration took place.  It said there were
fire works and the firing of guns.

So, I ask my Alexa, and she said that Thomas Jefferson celebrated the 4th of
July first in 1801. Just shows you that it depends how a question is
answered, and both can be right.
