Hi KK Friends,
I had 2 blessings this week that I want to share with all of you.
I was able to get all my Operation Christmas child boxes done and delivered
to the drop off place a few days ago. I still did not reach my goal of 100
shoe boxes, but I did come so close this ear. There will be so many blessed
children this year from all the fun and excitement I had from making and
putting together these boxes this year. The most exciting thing about it
all this year was the wonderful help I got from 3 of my KK friends who made
and sent stuff to me to go in the boxes. So thank you KK friends for
making a difference in the lives of these children. I also had help from my
local friends and family members for the first time with this charity and
that too made a difference. It is so fun in making things, packing the boxes
and delivering them to the drop off place. We, the packers and collectors
pray over each and every box and that is a blessing in itself. It has been a
great joy in participating in this for my second year and I will take a few
weeks off and then get started again for next years children. I already have
a good start by having some things I was given to go in the boxes and I do
have some extra boxes to put stuff in. So you can see that working together
or independently we can make a difference. So please come out and join the
caring and sharing class that is held here each month and brighten someone's
life, weather that is a child, a veteran, an abused woman and her children
who are in a shelter, foster care to success to America's college fund
students "The red scarf project", the homeless people in shelters and
our 4 legged friends by making something for the dogs and cats who are in
shelters. I also made a great friend who works at one of the operation
Christmas child Samaritan's Purse offices. We have talked many times of
this year and she is a very caring person and a blessing in what she does.
She and I are working together to see if the board will make it possible for
us to be able to send to blind and visually impaired children if we want to.
This may not happen but we are trying to see if we could. All children
deserve our gifts but it would be a wonderful blessing to be able to make a
difference in a handicap child's life. Anyway it just makes my heart over
flow with the joy of knowing all the difference the KK group does for so
many others.
My second blessing this week was God's blessing of my latest grandson. He
was born prematurely and a lot of his organs and body parts have not
developed fully and he is having a lot of health issues. He has lost a lot
of weight where he is unable to nurse. He is going to have to have heart
surgery on Monday. He might be real tiny but he is a big blessing to our
family and God knew just what family to bless him with because he is being
showered with tons of love and prayers. His name is Jacob and he needs all
the prayers he can get and so does his parents. This is my youngest son
Dwaine's first child and like I have said he is a great blessing to all of
us. My heart is over flowing with joy, happiness and concern but I wanted to
share this with my KK friends.
Blessings to all of you and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and a
happy Thanksgiving and please remember on Thanksgiving and all year round
what you are thankful for.

Debbie Killian

Successful Saturday is a chance to share with us wins or goals you have had
this week. So if you got a new job or finally finished that blanket we would
love to hear about it. No matter how big or small we want to celebrate with
you.
