I brought home loads of memories which is the best, and lots of little
token presents.  But I brought some coconut husks which is about 4
inches thick.  I checked with the department of ag guy who was
inspecting for things they do not want people to bring, and he said it
is fine, because coconut can be brought.  They make lots of scented oils
and soaps in small quantities which I brought as little gifts.  t-shirts
were tempting, but too expensive so left them there.  We also got lots
of pictures and videos.  There are a couple of things already posted on
Idahos blind you tube, but there will be more.

Best,

Ramona

We spent four days on Maui and 3 days on the Big Island. The weather is tantalizingly wonderful. The diversity of acttivities and scenery is great, everything from plantations to cattle ranches and volcanoes to beaches. And we did our best to sample it all. Native food is also interesting, Chinese, Japanese, native Hawaiian all mixed with familiar American. I've been to Owahu and Maui before, and this was a dream. I decided to celebrate my 80th birthday with this trip, and it was like a week-long celebration. It was especially good because my daughter took a week of vacation and went with me. She is so good at computer finding and made it so we could rent a car. We also stayed in Air B and B's, so got the real feel of living there. Hated to come home!
