Awww, I am so happy you were able to adopt her! As others have said, adopting older animals is great, as they don't get adopted as often and sometimes have to spend long times in animal shelters (or worse). I'm sure she will be a great companion!

Best,
Sarah

Ericka Nelson
We just brought a new kitty home today. Lucy is a plaque and white tuxedo kitty who is very mellow. She’s 11 years old declawed and a majorly snuggly pot 5 pounds of love. She was surrendered and we think it’s because her owner was downsizing and the apartment complex would not allow cats. But we really don’t know of course. She came from the Humane Society. She’s in great condition condition for loving years old. She’s smart and has an earlier bedtime seems like us. She’s sleeping under our bed right now.

One of the things I would like to learn in this new year is how to make toys for pets. Especially cats, of course. I can make some, but I’d rather have an actual pattern so someone says oh that’s so cute! Instead of making some thing that looks, like I just tossed a bunch of yarn together and it turned into something. She has a pet bed/house kind of thing that looks like a hacked ass which is hilarious. It’s all fuzzy, and she can crawl inside instead of her throne and hide if she doesn’t feel comfortable. She’s been checking it out but she hasn’t Stayed there too long. She’s more of a people person. The true lap cat or the Humane Society called her coach potato! I’d also like to get more patterns. Actually start a collection. I’d like to learn how to read the patterns better, and if anyone has any links, especially for sites that have things separated into beginner, intermediate and advanced. That would be fantastic because I don’t really , find that in my searches. I would also like to learn how to make a hat, knit or crochet. Then I can really start doing things for charities. Just something basic I’m far far away from fancy cabling and stuff.

I wanted to join in tonight, but the cat needed our attention on her first day in her new home. I promise I will talk to you guys soon and happy new year to all.
