[NFB-Krafters-Korner] Technique for adding beads to knitting

Bells!  That sounds like fun.
What technique are you using now?
The only technique I've used before is to thread the beads on the yarn
before I start, and pull 1 up when I want it.

Tracy,
I'm going to have to try this. It sounds like it would work really good to
add beads or bells to knitted things like headbands, bracelets and scarfs. I
have other ways I do these things right now but will certainly try this one.

There's an interesting technique in Interweave May 2023 for adding beads to
knitting.

It uses 4 mm beads and a crochet hook small enough to go through the bead.

Knit a stitch.

Put the crochet hook through a bead, then scoop the stitch you just knitted
off the needle and onto the hook.

Pull the stitch through the bead and put it back on the needle.

 

Sounds easy, right?  I haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to.
