Hi,<br>

I have finally joined. I live out in California and I've recently<br>
started to crochet and knit using a knitting loom. I have knitted 3<br>
baby hats and 2 scarves on the loom and I have crocheted 2 scarves --<br>
all in the last month.<br>
<br>
I'm a little stuck because I want to learn how to do cool projects and<br>
I want to learn how to do more advanced stiches, etc, etc. My crochet<br>
teacher is pretty busy and doesn't have a ton of time to teach beyond<br>
what she has already taught me, which is to say, she's taught me how<br>
to do a slip knot, chain, a single stitch and how to finish off. I've<br>
read a crochet book my husband bought me for Mother's Day and have<br>
learned, in concept, how to make other stiches like the half double<br>
stitch.<br>

I've downloaded and read a few iPhone apps that have taught me<br>
additional stitches. I have arm wrestled my husband into watching<br>
YouTube vids of looming techniques but he complains he doesn't know<br>
what he is looking at and isn't a good candidate for helping me learn.<br>

Anyways, I'm new and I'm open to learning how to learn.<br>
<br>
any ideas are much appreciated. And, if anyone is willing to sit and<br>
teach me a few tricks at Dallas, I'm game! I learn very fast.<br>
crocheting is ihn my blood. My grandmother does it for a living in<br>
Puerto Rico. My mom and sister crochet, but my mom was never able to<br>
teach me. I've finally found someone who could teach me and I'm so<br>
hooked.<br>
