--></style><div class="WordSection1"><div><p class="MsoNormal">Granny square cross</p><p class="MsoNormal">Supplies: worsted weight yarn small amount</p><p class="MsoNormal">Crochet hook of your choice</p><p class="MsoNormal">Scissors</p><p class="MsoNormal"> </p><p class="MsoNormal">Begin by chain 5 and slip stitch into first chain to create a ring.</p><p class="MsoNormal">Chain 3, 2 double crochet, chain 3, 3 double crochet, chain 3 3 double crochet,chain 3, 3 double crochet, chain 3 slip stitch into top of first granny square.</p><ul type="disc" style="margin-top:0in"><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-left:0in; mso-add-space:auto; mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Slip stitch over to first space. Chain 3 to create first double crochet, 2 double crochet into space, chain 3, 2 double crochet, chain 3 and slip stitch into the space. This gives a scaloped appearance. At this point you might want to place a stitch marker into the space created between the 2 granny squares that you just created.</li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left:0in; mso-add-space:auto; mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Repeat the steps above for each remaining space.</li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left:0in; mso-add-space:auto; mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">In this round, you will slip over the squares and sides of squares until you reach your stitch marker. Then you will chain 3, 2 double crochets, chain 3, 2 double crochets, chain3 and attach to the space with a slip stitch. Continue to slip stitch to the next stitch marker and repeat the previous step. You will do this for 3 spaces with stitch markers. Once the last chain 3 is completed in the 3<sup>rd</sup> space, cut the working yarn and finish off the pattern.
