Dar,
I am glad you are interested in being a part of Lions. It bothers me
that they aren't willing to help you with transportation. In a
previous club, the members never had a problem offering a ride. I
offered money for gas, which they refused. I would sneek around and
pay for a meal or 2 when I could get away with it. grin! They would
fuss at me when they caught me. I would laugh and go on. I have sense
moved and have just recently located a club to join. This city has
buses that I can make use of for getting to the meeting. Returning
home has to be done by cab or club member. When they found this out, a
member offered. If you don't feel welcome in that club, find another
one. I'm sure there is plenty you can contribute to the club.
Feel free to ask any other questions.
Good luck!
Hope this helped.
