[NFB-Maryland] Reminder: NFBMD Recurring COVID-19 Call Tonight

I hope you are well and remaining healthy.  

 

 

I want to remind you about our weekly affiliate COVID-19 call via Zoom.  We
hold this meeting every Wednesday at 8:00PM Eastern in order to continue
sharing information in a myriad of ways so as to ensure as many members as
possible have access, and in order for us to keep connected with one another
during this unprecedented situation.  All are welcome.  We do ask that folks
exercise good conference call etiquette, including muting when not talking
(star 6).  The first part of the meeting will focus on pushing out
information and hearing from you things that are relevant to Maryland's
blind during the COVID-19 outbreak.  The second part will be an opportunity
to catch up with one another and socialize with our Federation family.

I want to also remind you that NFBMD attempts to share information, support
one another, and keep connected with our members and friends during the time
of the Coronavirus crisis in a number of ways.  In addition to our Wednesday
evening calls, we update our COVID-19 webpage regularly (usually daily) with
statistics, resources, and opportunities (including a schedule of free

NFBMD has a COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund.  This fund provides
financial assistance to blind individuals and families with a blind member
who are experiencing financial hardship as a result of the coronavirus.
This fund will provide financial assistance for essential needs such as
groceries and medication.  If you or someone you know is interested in
requesting assistance from the NFBMD COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund,

contribution to augment this fund, please reach out to me using the same
