Federation Family,
I am so very sorry to share that Jean Faulkner, long-time and current President of the Greater Cumberland Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind of Maryland passed away suddenly yesterday.  Jean was 78.  Jean has worked tirelessly to keep the chapter going for decades.  She also had a long, illustrious career with Blind Industries and Services of Maryland (BISM) in their Cumberland plant, where she worked for 43 years before retiring a few years ago.

Jean was the recipient of the 2019 NFB of Maryland Kenneth Jernigan Award.  She was an avid cruiser, and she recently joined and became an expert in the use of Facebook.

This is a devastating loss for our organization and our family.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to her son and all who knew and loved her.
