We love and miss you, Jean!<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#444444'>Naomi “Jean” Faulkner, 78, of Cumberland passed away on December 16, 2020 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Edward Williams and Ruth Laverne Roby Livengood, in addition to her parents she was also proceeded in death by a step-father, Donald Livengood; an infant sister, Judy Williams. <br><br>Jean was born November 16, 1942 in Cumberland. She was a graduate of Catonsville High School. After school she worked as a medical secretary at Johns Hopkins Hospital until she moved back to Cumberland. She then worked at Blind Industries and Services of Maryland for 43 years, and was also very active with the National Federation of the Blind and served as a local chapter president. <br><br>She was a member of the Red Hat Society as “Duchess Runabout” for her frequent shopping trips. A world traveler and she really enjoyed going on cruises. Jean was 78. Jean has worked tirelessly to keep the chapter going for decades. She also had a long, illustrious career with Blind Industries and Services of Maryland (BISM) in their Cumberland plant, where she worked for 43 years before retiring a few years ago. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Jean was the recipient of the 2019 NFB of Maryland Kenneth Jernigan Award. She was an avid cruiser, and she recently joined and became an expert in the use of Facebook.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>This is a devastating loss for our organization and our family.
