[NFB-Mastodon] I can't find any good app for macOS.

It does have a trial. Personally I think it's worth the money, but not everyone does. There however also is a free Mastodon app called Ice Cubes, which has improved VoiceOver support recently. But I haven't tried Ice Cubes in a couple months.
