Salam NFB Muslims,

My name is Rahaf. I’m an accessibility researcher at the University of 
Michigan. I am interested in studying and improving AI-enabled visual 
assistance technologies (e.g., Seeing AI, Envision AI, TapTapSee, Be My 
Eyes AI and more) through a compensated interview and focus group study.

I am recruiting adult participants who are Blind, low vision, or have a 
visual disability, live in the United States, and are at least 18 years 
old to take part in a 60-90 minute interview study conducted via Zoom. 
Additionally, participants may be invited to a subsequent focus group 
that lasts up to 90 minutes.

For your valuable time and participation, you will receive a $90 Amazon 
Gift Card as compensation if you complete all parts of the study. To 
elaborate, you will receive $5 for sharing screenshots or written 
examples of using visual assistance technologies, $30 for completing the 
interview, and an additional $55 for participation in the focus group. 
All compensation will be provided in the form of Amazon Gift cards.

Typically, we conduct interviews in English, but Arabic is my first 
language and I would be happy to switch to Arabic for certain questions 
or clarify anything in Arabic.
