I would like to report that I am applying for the NFB Bolotin Award this
year. The Bolotin Awards honor individuals and organizations that are a
positive force in the lives of blind people. You can read more about the

For those who don't know about me, I am a braille transcriber who
specializes in braille for languages that do not use the Latin alphabet.
This includes languages like
Arabic, Persian, Chinese, Russian, Korean, Japanese and others. I have
transcribed several books of Hadith and Arabic language textbooks. I have
recently produced Arabic braille transcriptions of documents for a hotel
chain based in Doha, and I will be producing Arabic and English braille
transcriptions for a museum in Dubai.

At the Eid Mubarek zoom for NFB-Muslims, it was suggested that
members could write a letter of recommendation for my application for the
Bolotin Award. Insha Allah, I would be tremendously grateful if any members
could do this for me.

Letters of recommendation have to be added in a text field on an NFB
website. The deadline is Monday, April 15 (this coming Monday). You can't
just upload a file but you can copy and paste your letter in the text
field. The website at which you can write your recommendation letter is at
