[NFB-Muslims] Announcements of Blind Muslims activities during national convention next week

[Tas A]

Salamalakum dear brothers and sisters,
The Blind Muslims has a couple of events lined up for national convention coming up in Austin, Texas starting July 3 in shaa Allah. For further communication, check our NFB Muslims group WhatsApp for updates and communication.
1. The daily prayer space during the entire convention days is in room 308. We encourage you to arrange to pray your prayers in the room as often as possible. And as a reminder, the space is only for the daily prayer space and Friday prayer. Any other activities are not allowed.
2. Join blind Muslims for a quick orientation and mobility exploration of the hotel in the evening of July 2. Keep a lookout for confirmation of the exact gathering location, which is going to be closer to the main lobby area.
3. The Blind Muslims Group seminar is scheduled on July 3 from 11 AM to 12:45 PM in room 403, in shaa Allah. Join brother Don Winiecki and other blind Muslims for a discussion on applications to memorize the Quran, braille resources, Blind Muslim legacy, law and Disability and so much more. Virtual option via zoom will be available using the zoom information below.
4. Friday prayer will be held at convention on July 3 from 1 PM to 2 PM in room 308, in shaa Allah. Nadir from Islam By Touch will be leading the Friday prayer, in shaa Allah.
5. Islam By Touch will have a booth at the exhibit hall throughout the exhibit sessions, in shaa Allah. Stop by to pick up Islamic braille resources or to say salam.
6. Keep a lookout on our WhatsApp group for a possible get together organized by Islam By Touch in shaa Allah.

The convention is exciting for two reasons: the first is to find resources in the second is to make new connections. We hope that you take advantage of the opportunities and be safe! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions to the Blind Muslims Chair, Tasnim Alshuli, at nfbmuslims at gmail.com.

With Peace
Tasnim Alshuli,
Chair of the Blind Muslims Group
