I have both halal and Kosher as well as vegan. Most of the places are closed or have moved out of Orleans parish or across the lake and the river. If it says uptown, you have to use the street car off saint Charles and walk over to magazine street. If you are driving, you still have to walk far as their is no parking to be had in the uptown area. I verified that all these places were what they said they were. Remember the Kosher places do serve alcohol. And I think the halal places do too but their food is pork free.

Safety check:

Please please please, stay on the main streets do not do not go down any alleys thinking it is a short cut.

When you park, make sure your by a lighted section and do not go out at night by yourself. If you are carrying any cash, have it in a closed hidden hip pouch.

Do not bring hand bags when your walking around the city. If you need to purchased something, carry a closed tout bag or better yet, bring a backpack with a waist strap and no open outer pockets. Remember it is extremely crowded outside in the area you all will be.

weather check:

New Orleans is always having high humidity and it is blow sea level. So if you go outside stay hydrated. so think about carrying a portable fan or a cooling best along with water. If you can get a good old straw hat to stop the sun beating down on you.

If it says your rain chances are 30 percent, somewhere it will be raining in the city. If you can, grab a poncho if you think it is going to rain, makes much easier to use when you have to use a cane.

Now the food locations. I only put one that was outside of Orleans parish. So if anyone has a car, they can check it out. I included it so anyone who wants to try the dishes of new Orleans with out having to worry that their creole or Cajun food might have pork in it, they can go to this place. But, you can always ask if they put pork sausage in their gumbo and you have to be careful as some seafood gumbo has pork in it as well. Quick tip, if you cant smell the seafood when you go in to the eatery, do not get it, it is frozen and it is not fresh. If it is not halal and Kosher the sausage will be pork or pork casing on beef. When they say a roast beef sandwich is well dressed, you can always ask what they use to dress the sandwich, what is in the gravy.

barks rootbeer in a bottle is a stable of New Orleans, it is dark because it has caffeine in it, no alcohol. If you want to be cool, just ask for a barks. They will no exactly what your asking.

https://anatolianeworleans.com/new-orleans-anatolia-mediterranean-cuisine-food-menu

Anatolia Mediterranean Cuisine

3100 Magazine St

New Orleans, LA 70115

Irish Channel

(504) 249-5454 Staff wears masks.

2

Cleo's

940 canal street, New Orleans, 70112 New Orleans, LA 70112

Located in the NOLA CBD, and French Quarter.

tell:

(504) 522-4504

3

poorboys halal Shawarma On The Go3720 Magazine St

Shawarma on the Go – 3720 Magazine St, New Orleans

tell: 504-269-6427

https://shawarmaonthego.com/location/

kosher food

upscale

Doris Metropolitan New Orleans

620 CHARTRES ST

NEW ORLEANS, LA 70130

CONTACT

504-267-35002

https://www.rimontulanehillel.com/

relax student crowd

Tulane Hillel Building

912 Broadway Street New Orleans, LA 70118

504.232.0758

can be accessed off the saint charles street car

Extremely crowded 24 7

Café Du Monde

Address: 800 Decatur St, New Orleans, LA 70116, USA

All locations are kosher .
