You do not have to use them but, you can find out which hotels are accessible and maybe some tips for the rail. I think you travel a lot but remember in Europe you have to specify if you want your own bathroom because, bathrooms are shared even at hotels. Especially the hosstals. I did see a lot accessible tours but they were all geared towards wheelchairs but, this link was the best inshallah. Also do not forget if you want ice with your drinks, you have to ask for it and when you ask for water, you either get plain or bubble water, carbonated. It has been a while but, that is how it was when I traveled in the uk and France. Just remember the little cafees usually do not have accessible restrooms. In France, the bathroom was a little closet with a hole in the floor; that was interesting, hay I got the experience. But my hotel we had our own bathroom but, the people checking after us had to share their bathroom dorm-room style, have to remember to lock the other door. Now, if you stay in say a Hilton, maybe this is not the case but, we stay local hotel for the experience in the heart of Paris. Europe is going threw a heat wave so, I would ask if the hotel has a back up generator. Many places still do not have central AC now this has changed a lot but, they still have places that do not have central air. Today the high in Madrid was 98 degrees f.

http://www.disabledtravelersguide.com/travel/travel_disabled_spain.htm

I was reading, spain has a hole accessible island that is kind of cool. I think it was Mallorca but, they also included, Tenerife and Gran Canaria. I think their museums are accessible with a talking wand but, I have not traveled their but, they were in the uk, Ireland and France.

Safe traveling salaam wa-nor sister Heather

From: ibrahim abedrabbo via NFB-Muslims
Sent: Saturday, August 5, 2023 10:30 PM
To: nfb-muslims@nfbnet.org
Cc: ibrahim abedrabbo
Subject: [NFB-Muslims] Travel advice

Assalamu alaykum brothers and sisters.

I am writing to solicit advice from those who traveled to and through Spain.
