Greetings Bill

Happy New Year! The ski season is in full swing at Sugarloaf with plenty of snow on the slopes and we are preparing for an even larger New England Blind / Visually Impaired Ski Festival this year. This is the second annual NEVI Festival held at Sugarloaf Mountain Resort in Carrabasset Valley, Maine, February 10 - 14, 2013. This National event is designed to create a unique social, recreational and educational experience for skiers of all levels. Skiers will have the opportunity to develop their skiing abilities on all levels of terrain with their own guides or qualified festival volunteers. Skills enhancement will also be available for guides from Certified PSIA Adaptive and experienced clinicians.

In addition to skiing participants can enjoy in evening activities that include: snow tubing, Cat rides, (snow groomer bus) snowmobile rides, and a dinner banquet. This year we have added zip lines for those who want even more adventure! Also, we are thrilled to have Erik Weihenmager as a guest speaker. Erik, is a world class blind adventurer, motivational speaker and author. In addition to speaking, he is also planning to ski with us at the festival.

Thanks to our sponsors, to our host, Maine Adaptive Sports and Recreation, and to Sugarloaf, we are able to offer ski and stay packages that include all of the activities above, at a reasonable price. Our deadlines for registration are fast approaching. Please register today to participate as a skiier or as a friend who wants to learn how to guide. Also, please pass this on to anyone you know who may be interested in joining us!

Please contact me with any questions. I look forward to seeing you at NEVI fest!

Kind Regards,

Scott
