Housekeeper

New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired is seeking applications for Housekeeper.  Duties include: sweeping, mopping, stripping and waxing floors; dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing, repositioning furniture/equipment, cleaning windows, removing trash, and thorough cleaning of a variety of surfaces in a residential campus setting in order to ensure a hygienic, safe and healthy environment.  Successful candidate must possess a strong work ethic, have the ability to effectively coordinate with other team members, efficiently perform duties, and be detail oriented.  Prior housekeeping and deep cleaning experience preferred. 12 month, hourly position.  Applications will be accepted until filled. 

 

 

Teacher of Students with Multiple Impairments

Duties include the ability to provide a comprehensive educational program to students K-12 with visual impairments and multiple disabilities.  Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education and certification in Vision is preferred or must be willing to acquire.  Must possess or be eligible for NM Public Education Department licensure. Will be required to become Braille proficient.  Full‑time contract for the 2017-2018 school year. Applications accepted until filled.
