Secondary Math Instructor

The New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired is currently looking for a highly qualified secondary Math Instructor. The successful candidate will provide math instruction using the common core standards to students, grades 6-12. Instruction includes remediation of math deficiencies as well as implementation of educational practices specific to blindness. Bachelor’s degree or higher with an endorsement in mathematics is required. The successful candidate must become licensed as a teacher of the visually impaired; must possess or be eligible for NM Public Education Department licensure in secondary math.  Will be required to become Braille proficient.  Full‑time, 9-month contract for the 2017-2018 school year.  Applications accepted until filled.
