CHAPTER MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT

Topic:

We will be discussing several things which have happened during the month of
January, including the following: (1) a report on our meeting with
Albuquerque Transit (ABQRide) about the deployment of Accessible Pedestrian
Signals and a lack of consultation with the blind community; and (2) a
discussion of the National Accreditation Council for Agencies Serving the
Blind and Visually Impaired and how our "friends" at the Association for
Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (AER) are
trying to revive a dead horse. We will also be discussing possible upcoming
projects/events for the year.
