Diagnostician/Psychologist

The New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired is seeking a
Diagnostician/Psychologist.  This individual will conduct diagnostic
evaluations and determine eligibility for services. Will assist classroom
teachers with ongoing assessments and data collection.  Will perform
comprehensive psychological assessments and intakes of students referred.
Provides written reports, to include scoring, on each psychological
assessment and intake. Performs psychological/mental health consultation, as
may be required, to include attendance at IEP's to present diagnostic or
psychological testing findings.  Will provide ongoing counseling and
diagnostic services.  Minimal state travel may be required.  A NM Public
Education School Counselor or School Psychologist and Diagnostician license
or related license is required.  Two years experience with special education
students and/or blind and visually impaired, is preferred.  Will be required
to become Braille proficient.  This is a 9-month part-time position.
Position available for the 2019-2020 school year.  Applications accepted
