4.	Reciting of the NFB pledge
    I pledge to participate actively in the efforts of the National Federation of the Blind; to achieve equality, opportunity, and security for the blind; to support the policies and programs of the Federation; and to abide by its Constitution.
 
5.  One Minute Message, read by Mario Hooee, vice president
     The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and their dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.

8.	 Treasurer’s Report, Daphne Mitchell 
9.	  Introduction of guest speaker, Jamie from the Alamogordo Orientation Center. Jamie will share her story and journey as a blind person since birth. She will also talk about the Orientation Center and its programs. Jamie will also touch on the children’s portion, including the NFB parents of blind children affiliate and services through NMSBVI.
