Outreach Itinerant, Math Specialist
New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired Outreach Services
Division is currently recruiting for an experienced Outreach Itinerant, Math
Specialist. This itinerant teacher for students with visual impairments
travels to districts to help support TSVIs and other school support staff in
providing math support for students with blindness or visual impairments.
Duties will include training, resources, consultation and support to TSVIs
in school districts throughout the state of New Mexico.  Will be required to
travel in assigned areas throughout the state. Bachelor's degree or higher
and Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments license required.
Certification in Mathematics Braille transcribing required or be willing to
obtain.    
 
This is a 90 day contract and covers the full school year. Must be eligible
for certification in New Mexico and must meet NMSBVI's Braille proficiency
requirement.  A home office will be set up and a car will be provided.
Position available for the 2024-2025 school year.  Applications accepted
