Plant Operations Manager
The New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired is recruiting for the position of Plant Operations Manager.  This individual will coordinate and direct activities concerning buildings and infrastructure at both campuses requiring upkeep, will supervise the activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing physical structures of NMSBVI buildings and grounds, and will provide project management duties for construction projects.  Extensive experience in the repair, maintenance, and/or construction fields, and three to five years supervisory experience is required. Must possess or have the ability to obtain NM CID Journeyman Licensure in field(s) of expertise, such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing and/or boiler operation. Full-time, 12‑month position. Food Service Manager

Coordinates all food service activities and the supervision of food preparation, food control, cost control and service within NMSBVI.  Establishes and enforces well-balanced menus to meet requirements of New Mexico State Department of Health, special diets and recommendations from the NMSBVI Dietitian. Supervises food service employees and manages Food Service budget.  Maintain an inventory, and adhere to safety and sanitary regulations.  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one year certificate from college or technical school; or four to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Background/experience in working with students with visual impairments preferred.  Full‑time, 9‑month contract position with extended days before and after the school year.
