Hello NFB DE members and friends,

 

I hope this email finds you well and recuperating from the Thanksgiving
stuffing.  May your turkey rest in pieces (blame the joke on Khalil. he is
rubbing off on me).  Anyway. on to the business at hand.  Elisabeth Furber,
the Delaware Community Legal Aid Society Inc. (CLASI)  Client Assistance
Program (CAP) director, was supposed to give a presentation at our NFB DE
2024 convention but, due to illness, she had to leave the convention early.
However, her role in making sure that Delawareans get the service they need
and have a right to with regards to DVI and DVR is so important that we
wanted to have her presentation at another time. We have set the date for
her presentation on December 5th at 5 pm via Zoom.  She will explain the
role of CLASI, CAP, and the Disability Law Program (DLP).  This is a very
important topic for our community, so I hope that you attend this meeting.
Her presentation will be about 30 minutes long and will be followed by a Q&A
for approximately 15-minutes.  After her session, we are asking the women to
stay on the Zoom meeting for a 20-minute presentation by Brittany Adams.
Brittany is a student at the University of Delaware who is doing research on
blind women and the use of cosmetic products.  She has asked for our input,
and due to her tenacity, we thought it would be good to give her a platform
to share her topic.
