Subject: Reminder: Southern Chapter Meeting Wednesday at 4 PM

 

Hi All,

 

Please join us on October 9 at 4 PM on the NFBDE Zoom for the October
meeting of the Southern Chapter-the last meeting before our state
convention, and my final chapter meeting as president. More importantly,
this will be a crucial meeting for our chapter, as the Southern Chapter
members present will vote on the chapter's future and the nature of the
report the members want me to make to the state convention. Essentially, the
two questions that need to be decided are these: First, can the Southern
Chapter exist as presently constituted (with a new president and treasurer),
or is it best to dissolve the current chapter? Second, do we want to work
with the state and national organizations to conduct an outreach and
organizing effort in Kent and Sussex Counties, with the end goal of starting
a chapter in each county?

 

As you can tell, the Southern Chapter's very existence is under discussion
at this meeting, so it's important for all Southern Chapter members who can
be there to be there. Anyone else who wants to lend your voice to the
conversation is also welcome. We look forward to seeing you there!
