 seven days on the road. What a great week for the Federation. Congratulations to the National Federation of the Blind on organizing and executing a truly powerful and highly effective #RideshareRally in San Francisco on October 15. Of course, a lot of work
 went into the lead up to that event and much follow-up is needed. We will persist in demanding these companies do what they need to do.<o:p></o:p></span></span></span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-bookmark:OLE_LINK9"><span style="mso-bookmark:OLE_LINK8"><span style="mso-bookmark:OLE_LINK7"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">I have heard some in our community express disappointment because
 the denials did not suddenly stop when we closed our rally at Lyft on Tuesday afternoon. Trust me, I understand; I was with Raul Gallegos and a number of others that very evening when a Lyft driver refused to transport us. If making progress was easy, everyone
 would be doing it. The reality is that our determination to come together and stick with an issue is what has made all the difference since 1940. I am calling on each of you to be part of the “choir of progress” to let people know that we have successfully
 gotten attention on this important issue, and we are determined to stick with it to the end. We need to keep the pressure on, and I encourage our Federation affiliates to continue to spread the word about the importance of our work together. I encourage you
 not to get drawn into the negative debate. We should continue to bring people together with the faith that as blind people we will win on this issue.

 Mark AI. Our goal is to determine what interesting things we can do with AI around the organized blind movement. When you have questions about the movement or need a reminder about something, ask Mark AI by sending a text to 833-564-2271. The more you engage

 member participation for our Rideshare Rally in front of Uber and Lyft last Tuesday was fantastic. The Federation showed up strong, with nearly two hundred members from all across the country, to voice our displeasure with the nation’s two largest rideshare
 companies regarding their treatment of blind riders, especially those with guide dogs. Aira was generous enough to audio describe both portions of the rally, and the video can be found on their YouTube channel under the “Live” tab at
