[Nfb-or] Letter to Senators about the School for the Blind and House Bill 2834

Lin,

I am also composing letters, but mine are directed to the media. In
them, I list the names of those representatives who think it is
acceptable to steal from blind children. Their names are part of the
public record, but they are about to get a lot more public.

I've also got some estimates about just how much more of our money
our esteemed legislature will spend closing the school--it's not
pretty. That's not even counting the lost federal matching funds
through the Oregon Commission for the Blind or the inevitable
lawsuits that several parents will file as soon as this clears the
senate.

Oregon's going to spend more trying to replace services and fighting
lawsuits as a result of closing the School for the Blind than they're
going to get from selling the property. They deserve it too, after
the stunt with the last amendment and denial of public comment.

Joseph
