[Nfb-or] guide and reader

Actually, it doesn't say anything at all.  I've seen some finely 
skilled people come out of the VA's programs.  I've also seen some 
people who needed a sighted guide to move five feet from one table to 
the next at an exhibit hall.

The latter was a BVA officer, and didn't have much use for the NFB.  
I didn't tell him that if hat's how he wanted to spend the remainder 
of his life, we didn't have much use for him either.  I sure did 
think it, though.

We don't have a choice to be blind.  We do have a choice regarding 
how we live our lives given blindness.  I'll do my best to give a 
person the information needed to make the choice they have, but once 
they've made it I'm not going to lose sleep over them making what I 
consider to be the foolish choice.
