Flags to be lowered on Wednesday, May 26, from sunrise to sunset

Governor Ted Kulongoski ordered all flags at public institutions to be flown at half-staff Wednesday, May 26, in memory of former State Senator Lenn Hannon.

"Lenn Hannon was a tireless champion for his district and for Oregon during 30 years of distinguished service in the Oregon Senate," said Governor Kulongoski.
"Leaders like Lenn Hannon don't come along often enough in Oregon and our state will forever be better because of his leadership. He is be missed by all
who knew and worked with him."

Flags are to be lowered on the day of the memorial service scheduled in the Senate Chamber at the State Capitol, Wednesday, May 26. The Senate Memorial
Service can be attended by the public. Please note that the Senate Floor Session will begin promptly at 2:30 p.m. in the Senate Chambers, with the Memorial
Service beginning after at approximately 3 p.m. A tree dedication ceremony will immediately follow.
