Job Workshops at Central Office April 8, 2016
The Department of Rehabilitation will host two "How to Begin a State Career" workshops for consumers and public participants on April 8, 2016, at Central Office. DOR employees are welcome to invite participants to attend.
Visitors will be attending one of two workshops scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Session 1) or 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Session 2) in conference rooms 169, 242 and 244.
The workshops, hosted in partnership with California State Senator Dr. Richard Pan and Assembly Member Jim Cooper, include:
*       An overview of the jobs.ca.gov website
*       Information on the civil service/merit system process
*       Test preparation for the Office Technician (OT) and Staff Services Analyst (SSA) classifications
*       Introduction to the Limited Examination and Appointment Program (LEAP)
Space is limited. The deadline for requesting reasonable accommodations is Monday, April 4.
