Dear Science Teachers, 

I have great news! We have built accessibility into our Quantum Chemistry Tutors, and need to field test the Tutors with blind and visually impaired students as part of a two-year federal research project funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This field testing is a critical part of the grant process. This not only shows the effectiveness of the Tutors, but also shows NIH that this project was worth funding. Would you please help us and have your students participate and provide feedback?

To make it convenient for you, along with access to the software, we will provide simple assignments to help you and students become familiar with how to use each Tutor. Once the students have had an opportunity to work with a few of the Tutors, we would like you to complete a brief survey to give feedback describing their experience with the software.

Chemistry topics include: 

* Chemical Bonding 
* Elements 
* Chemical Reactions 
* Equation Balancing 
* Ionic Compound Formulas 
* Mathematics of Chemical Formulas 
* Measurement 
* Oxidation Numbers 
* Stoichiometry 

While primarily for high school and college-level students, some of the Tutors are applicable for middle school students such as Elements, Measurement and Chemical Reactions so students from all three levels can participate.

Please let me know if you can help with this field testing, and I can provide usernames/passwords for you to gain access to the Tutors. You can contact me at dittel at quantumsimulations.com. 

In order to meet the requirements for the grant study, we would need to receive the student feedback surveys by February 26, 2010. Will you please help us? I look forward to hearing from you soon.
