Hey, Rhonda!

You probably want to look into the computer science list:

http://nfbnet.org/mailman/listinfo/nfbcs_nfbnet.org

If you check the archives, you can find some really recent (last couple
of months?) discussions of career notions, issues, the pros and cons of
this or that educational requirement for some career tracks -- like
programming.

How to get a part-time job would depend on which area of computer
science you want to work in and what your qualifications are, as well as
what is available in your area. Which is where I'm stuck since I moved
out to the sticks just as the market was picking up in the city where I
lived. So don't ask me about career advice! /lol/

Look forward to seeing you there, and good luck.

Tami (with Mitzi poodle, so you know us)
